– Merry Chrysler. Merry Christman. (giggles) I’m the soapy superhero
you didn’t know you needed. For those of y’all who have not been keeping up with this month’s festivities, we are officially only 24 days out from Christmas.
– Wow. – It is now December 1st, the holiday collection soap release day. I’m gonna have Kenny throw up
a picture of all of the soaps in this year’s collection
that will be available today, so that in case you guys have forgotten, since it takes us like an entire
month to upload everything. So this year, the lineup is Evergreen, Peppermint Mocha Swirl, Three Kings, Land of Sweets, Winter
Berry, Winter Wonderland, Sugar Plum, A Christmas Carol, and Happy Holidays, which was
originally a high top soap, but you know I wanted to
change some things up this year so now it’s a low top soap. I tried to incorporate a
couple of different greens. We normally just do one red and one green, so I tried to add another green in there, add some gold accents, I
even got a colored glitter, because you guys have been
asking for me to use one, so we got that from EcoStardust. It’s gonna be really pretty, it’s gonna be the most festive of all, which is why we’ve put
it on the December 1st soap release, which by the way, is today at three p.m.
Central Standard Time. This is the holiday soap release. If you want soap to give as gifts or soap to display during
the festive season, now is the time to get it. The shop will be open until December 18th, and then we are going to shut
it down for the rest of year. So now is the time to get
your soap, your shampoo bars, anything else that you have
your little heart set on, and then we will restart in January. So without further ado,
let’s make some soap. I’m just gonna pour this right in. On blendin’ time! (giggles)
(festive music) Okay, we’re gonna have
three accent colors, so we gotta pour that off now. I’m gonna pour off about three pounds into each one of these
little buckets here. I wanna make sure that this soap has plenty of color on the inside. I love pouring out of the
spigot when it comes out clean! Last one, three measly pounds. In case anyone ever tells you otherwise, one should always use two
hands with the spatula, lest you mess up and get
it all over your feet. So what I have here is Pistachio Mica from Micamoma, this is a UK supplier. I wanted to try them out
and see what I thought. Do they hold up against the US suppliers? We will have to see. This is Forest Gold by
Micamoma, and I’m really hoping that it pulls me into a dark green color. That has been really
hard for me to achieve with the micas that I’ve
used here in the US. Now this red right here is a custom blend of Really Red! from Nurture Soap and True Red from Mad Micas. And then into the final
container we are adding a lot of titanium dioxide.
– Titanium dioxide. Now I am gonna blend, with my
stick blender, only one time. We’re going to mix the
fragrance oil in by hand because it does accelerate a little bit. (festive music) Y’all, just look at these colors, ooh! Blending by hand is my
absolute favorite thing to do to beat out fragrance
oil that accelerates. Obviously, this one doesn’t
accelerate by a ton, but if I stick-blended, it certainly would get lot thicker faster, so it’s best to just sorta take it slow. – [Kenny] Santa, where’d
you get those sunglasses? – Oh, you know, Mrs. Claus. – [Kenny] Why don’t you use a
whisk, like other soap makers? – (laughs) Because this
is what was close by. You could use a whisk, you
really could. (chuckles) I just had this sitting next to me. Because I’m edgy, Kenny, that’s why. I don’t do anything like other people. – [Kenny] It always has to be the Royalty Soaps way.
– That’s right. All right, let’s get
that slab mold in here, after this quick commercial break. (Kenny whooshing air) I’m gonna pour in some white first, just to cover the bottom
of this soap mold. Then we’re gonna go in
with one of the greens. This is gonna be a drop swirl,
dropping from rather high. Gonna come in with that second green, drop that hopefully in a
little bit of a different spot. Now we’re gonna do the red. Oh, this is gonna be so pretty. I’m so glad I decided to change it up and add another green color in there. All right, gonna drop some more green. Oh my gosh, it smells so good. Can you smell that from over
where you’re standing, Kenny? – No, I can’t.
– Oh, well, open up your nose. (Katie giggling)
(Kenny sniffing) – [Kenny] Oh, my ears just popped. – [Katie] All right, so I got the rest of the first green in,
but I’m not wiping it out. This I’m going to use to put on top. – That jiggle.
– I know! (giggles) Okay, so I’m gonna put
the rest of the white on, but I’m gonna kinda ladle
it on top a little bit, just so any color mottling
that we’re seeing on top gets covered up a little
bit, not all of it, there’s gonna be bits peeking
through, but that’s okay. It’s just to kinda give us
a fresh start on the top. All right, we got all that white in there, so it’s time to put the
green topping on top, and I’m very excited about it. I’m gonna start by kind of
putting it in the corners. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Gonna put the next color on there, really close to the first green. Now for this red, I’m only
going to do a little bit, because I’m actually going to pipe. (rubber clatters)
(screen beeps) As I was saying, I’m
actually going to pipe most of this red on top,
so I’m just going to take a little bit and sprinkle it
on there, like one little line. Now I’m going tap this down
on the ground real quick, get all those air bubbles
out, and flatten the top. And with my red sitting off
to the side to thicken up, I’ve gotta figure out how
thick I want this swirl to be. So I’ve got both a large
swirling wand and a toothpick. We’ll see what I like. Something like this,
that looks pretty cool. Okay, so there’s one option. Gosh darn it, I forgot to put the gold on. I’ll have to go in and
swirl that a little more. Yeah, it woulda been nicer if
I had remember that. (laughs) What if I did like this? I could also pull this
swirl out like this. – Too many beautiful options.
– I know, it’s gonna make it really hard to pick one. So I think I’m leaning towards this one. These two I think are my favorite. I do like these, but I
like these two the most. I like this swirl comin’ out on the end. So we’ve got plenty of red left in our little 12-inch piping bag, so I’m gonna twist the top so that it’s all in this little cone. Then we’re gonna snip a very teeny tiny bit off the edge, and now I’m going to use
this to pipe little berries. This won’t be perfect, not
everyone will get a berry. Some berries may even end up being cut. – [Kenny] I love them. – I’m glad you do.
– I would die for those berries.
(Katie chuckling) – [Katie] This is a very easy way to start with soap frosting, if you’ve never made soap frosting before. Just take some of your
batter that you already have, with a fragrance oil that typically sets up a little bit, and get goin’. This has been the busiest holiday season for me and my family that I can remember as long as I live! (chuckles) Seriously, we’re been so much going on, and Royalty Soaps has grown even bigger than we ever thought possible this year, so we have been on our toes, and we’re definitely looking
forward to a little break. Caleb and I were talking
about how we might even like to go on vacation in February or March. He really wants to go back to Hawaii, and Lily, all she has
talked about recently is the beach and big
waves, like she’ll say, “Big wave, here comes the big wave,” and we’ll splash her with water in the bathtub and it’s pretty cute. But mainly, Kenny and I are just going to take a breather. (laughs) Okay, so now I’m just gonna go in, and any place that I see that I think needs a few more berries,
I’m just gonna put ’em in. Now we’re going to put on
some Chunky Emerald Green biodegradable glitter from EcoStardust. I’m just gonna try to keep
it on the green areas. So now we have some Gold
Digger glitter from EcoStardust and I’m just gonna
sprinkle that a little bit closer to the white, so you can see it. All right, I think that’s it! So we are gonna wait 18 to 24 hours and then we will come
back and we will split the slab into loaves and
cut the loaves into bars after this quick commercial break. It’s gon’ be good.
(festive music) I keep finding that this is a thing with these dark green micas,
they turn bluish in a soap, they don’t go dark hunter
green, or like ivy green. It doesn’t happen, I don’t know why. Okay, but seriously, let’s
go ahead and cut the soap. Lined her all up, (gasps)
wow, I did a pretty good job placing that stuff, even
though I didn’t have any guide at all!
(cutter clunks) (gasps) Wow, ooh, guys, look, we got glycerin rivers, see the crackling? So this fragrance oil
typically does do that when you add titanium dioxide
to it, but I don’t hate it. I actually think that adds a
lot of character to this bar. Oh my gosh, this is so pretty! It’s very Christmasy,
without being too much. Also, this soap definitely gelled, which is another reason why those glycerin rivers are coming through, and you can tell because of this little crack on top.
(Kenny chuckles) The heat was trying to escape, and it had to break
the top to get through. Okay, so the question of the day is, have you ever stolen a quick smooch underneath the mistletoe? And yes, it can count if
you were three or four, and your parents set you up. I actually don’t know if I have. Maybe I have, maybe Caleb and
I have put up fake mistletoe for that purpose, but I can’t,
as far as I can remember. What about you, Kenneth? (chuckles) Oh wait, you’ve never had a girlfriend and you’ve always been single. (laughs) I can’t say that, that’s too mean. They’re gonna be like, “You
can’t pick on him like that!” To vote on this peculiar
question of the day, all you have to do is
click the I in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. – [Kenny] Do you wanna
be in the outro, Lily? – No.
– Why not? – No, thank you.
– All right. – Why not?
– No, thank you. I wanna sit down.
– Come here! Oh, you wanna sit down, okay, great. I hope you guys enjoyed this
