(Music playing) 🎵🎵 One of the things that this 4-H Camp has done, especially for this neighborhood, is it allows the organizations to form partnerships and coalitions. With the City of New Bern Parks and Recreation, when the weather turned inclement we were able to go inside and still continue to hold classes and things of that nature which is wonderful. The New Bern Garden Club, by providing the funding for this, that allowed 12 students to go through a program where they learned about soil, they learned about plants, they learned how to make things grow, and this is something that they can take with them back into the school year. The Cooperative Extension Director, Tom Glasgow came out. He gave a class on different insects and seeds and things of that nature and that also exposed the children to the possibility of careers that they might want to go into later on. It’s just been a wonderful experience to do this, and I think that’s what these partnerships are supposed to be So I really appreciate that and I hope the kids had a great time because I did.
