In this video, I’ll show you how to create
the one-over-one left purl cross in the western method with a cable needle. The one-over-one left purl cross cable uses
two stitches and we rearrange on stitch over the other so that the knit stitch crosses
upwards and to the left. To create the one-over-one left purl cross
cable with a cable needle, slip the next stitch purlwise onto a cable needle. Hold that cable needle to the front of the
work. Purl the next stitch on the left needle
and then knit the stitch from the cable needle. This creates a two-stitch cable with one knit
and one purl stitch where the knit stitch crosses over the purl stitch upwards and to
the left. Let’s go over that twice more. Slip one stitch purlwise to a cable needle
and hold that to the front of the work. Purl the next stitch on the left needle
and then knit the stitch from the cable needle. Let me show you that once more. Slip the next stitch purlwise onto a cable
needle and hold it to the front of the work. Purl the next stitch from the left needle
and then knit the stitch from the cable needle. And that’s how you create the one-over-one
left purl cross cable with a cable needle.
